Course Regulations

Course confirmation and reminder will be sent by TALIC to participants before the course commencement. It is the students' responsibilities to participate in ALL modules and complete ALL assignments to fulfil the course requirements and receive the certificates.

Only when absences are unavoidable (e.g., sick or bereavement leave), instructors will consider make-up arrangement, if the module is still available in the same/following cohort. Otherwise, students will be required to do make-up in the next semester/academic year.

For whatever reasons, if students miss the first module or cannot attend two or more modules of the course, no make-up arrangement will be made. Instead, they will be transferred to a later session, depended on the availability. In these transferal cases, students are required to retake the cert course, no matter how many sessions they attended in earlier session.

To minimize unnecessary waste of seats and workload, each student will only have ONE transferal opportunity to a later class. If students miss it again, they will be required to register on their own in the next semester or academic year.


Course Registration Guidelines

Follow the directions in the online system to submit your registration request. The information students provided will be reviewed before they can receive official registration results.

Priorities will be given to students who have official teaching duties in the academic year 2024-2025 AND/OR those who are officially informed that taking the certificate course is one of the graduation requirements. A soft copy of the relevant documentation (e.g., email notice from the Faculty/Department or scholarship document which includes the relevant terms and conditions) is required to submit to the registration system for review. Any registration without sufficient and appropriate proof will be rejected.

Students, who receive unsuccessful registration results due to insufficient proof/document, can re-register after obtaining an official proof from the Faculty/Department. Final-year students might join the waiting list and request for special arrangement if their earlier registrations are unsuccessful.
